Gimax International is an international freight forwarder founded in 1997 in Geova by Gianni Oddone and Lorenzo Mariotti, experienced managers from large companies in the sector, who were joined as a shareholder by Piero Lazzeri in 2001.
Gimax specialized in project cargo shipment management and particularly in import/export services to Central and South America. During the 2000s, the company opened three foreign offices (in Caracas, Valencia, and Mexico City), with a total team of 52 people and a global turnover of €17 million.
Having since become a joint-stock company and ranked among the top 110 Italian international freight forwarders, Gimax was acquired by the Bonzano Group (now BCube) in 2010, with Piero Lazzeri as Managing Director of the business, which became a branch of the logistics group.
In 2025, following the sale of the freight forwarding business unit by Bcube, Piero Lazzeri reestablished Gimax International S.r.l. to take over management of the Latin American business.
Gimax currently operates as a preferred partner of BCUBE, within the framework of a formalized industrial and commercial partnership between the parties, based on shared objectives of growth, quality, and continuity.
Furthermore, Gimax International Srl has obtained IATA accreditation.
